Why purchase from Tempvs?

Because we are awesome.

More seriously, though, Tempvs Watches has been well-established in the UK for over a decade, with 10’s of millions in UK and international sales. We have operated on the world’s largest watch-trading platform, Chrono24, for over 5 years with near-perfect feedback. We are based in Central London, in the city’s diamond district, with a physical store showcasing all our stock – meaning all watches can be seen prior to purchase.

We specialise in luxury pre-owned watches, from brands such as Rolex, Cartier, Omega and many more. All our watches are thoroughly inspected, tested and referenced against available databases, ensuring each watch is held to uncompromisingly high standards.

What are the payment options?

We offer a wide range of payment options, including all major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, bank transfer, cash and part exchange.

Online payment options are: all major credit/debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Bank Transfer.

In-store payment options include: all major credit cards, bank transfer, cash (government-mandated limits apply) and part exchange.

Is paying online secure?

Tempvs Watches uses the most secure online payment processes, overseen by Shopify’s robust security protocols. We do not store your payment details. We also accept Apple Pay and Google Pay, which also offers heightened security protection.

What is the Tempvs returns policy?

For added peace of mind, we offer a no-quibble 14-day returns policy. If you receive or collect your watch in store, and are not entirely happy with your purchase, simply return the watch to us in the same condition in which it was received, and you will receive a full refund. Watches that have been returned within 14-days that have signs of use, may not be accepted. Please feel free to contact us for further information on our returns policy.

How do I sell my watch?

We aim to make selling us your watch as straightforward as possible. We understand how daunting this process can be, so have implemented a simple procedure to minimise the headache.

The initial step would be to send in some images of your watch via our online enquiry forms or straight to us at info@tempvswatches.com along with information about your watch such as make, model, age, and whether or not it has original paperwork. We aim to get back to you with a price within 1 working day (often within a couple of hours).

Once we have confirmed a purchase price and you are happy to proceed, simply bring your watch to our Central London showroom, or send it in to us for inspection. The inspection process can take up to an hour, after which time we then prompt you to complete the purchase form (which takes a couple of minutes). Payment is then made via immediate transfer or cash (government-mandated limits apply). Valid photo ID is required for all sales.

Can I part exchange a watch?

We are happy to accept a wide range of watch brands and models in part exchange. Simply send across some information on your watch using our simple enquiry forms, and we will get back to you soon with an exchange value.

Why are your prices so competitive?

As you can see from our prices, we are regularly among the lowest-priced pre-owned watch sellers in the UK. We have a background in wholesale, so our heritage of buying in bulk, and turning over stock for small margins is ingrained in the way we do business. Rather than structure our business to maximise profit (watches will take longer to sell, but achieve higher prices), we aim to turn over stock relatively quickly but at lower margins. This leads to more sales, more customers, and more smiles.

Does a watch need original papers?

We subject our watches to the same rigorous tests whether they have original paperwork or not. The presence of original papers only really impacts on the price of a watch. Almost all watches are worth more with their original paperwork, as this is seen to make them more collectable. Buying a watch without paperwork is often more affordable as a buyer, as there is usually a sizeable saving to be had.

Does Tempvs Watches offer a warranty?

All our pre-owned watches are sold with our comprehensive 12-month warranty. This covers the full mechanical performance of the watch. Certain vintage timepieces, or ‘trade’ watches are exempt from this – all watches that are sold without our warranty will be expressly indicated as such.

What happens if the watch I bought from Tempvs stops working?

All our pre-owned watches are sold with a comprehensive 12-month warranty. While all our watches are thoroughly inspected and tested prior to being sold, very rarely a watch may not perform within accepted tolerances and may require further attention. In such an instance, send or bring in the watch to us and we will have our experienced watchmakers examine the watch and rectify any issues. This process may take some time, but every effort is made to ensure you receive your watch back as soon as possible. The customer bears none of the cost for repairs carried out under our 12-month warranty.

Any malicious, deliberate or accidental damage caused to the watch by the customer is not typically covered under the terms of the warranty. Watches brought to us with these issues are dealt with on a case-by-case basis.

How do I know your watches are not fake or stolen?

We subject all our watches to a rigorous, thorough and detailed inspection process. This includes, but is not limited to, inspecting the dial under a high-powered loupe, examining the watch’s reference, serial and bracelet engravings, inspecting the movement and referencing against existing/catalogued examples, and testing precious metals and gems. Only once we are 100% convinced of a watch’s authenticity and checked it against available databases to ensure a clean history, do we make that watch available for sale. We also offer a no-quibble 14-day returns policy for added peace of mind.

What happens if my watch stops working after my warranty expires?

Typically, the watches we sell will not require servicing for several years, as they have all been thoroughly tested and are supplied with our 12-month warranty. If, in the unlikely event that they stop working after the expiration of our 12-month warranty, we will endeavour to be accommodating, and will try to amend any issues with as little delay and cost as possible.
