Tempvs Pre-Retail
Authenticated. Unprepared. Fully disclosed.
Tempvs Pre-Retail gives collectors access to selected watches earlier in our stock cycle — before routine cosmetic preparation or servicing.
You see the watch substantially as we received it, with clear photography, factual condition notes and mechanical readings where applicable. You are not paying for preparation work we have not carried out.
What Pre-Retail means
- Authenticated by Tempvs: the watch has passed our authenticity assessment before it is offered for sale.
- As received: no routine cosmetic refinishing or polishing by Tempvs unless specifically disclosed.
- Mechanical snapshot: timegrapher readings are supplied where appropriate, together with relevant function checks.
- Full disclosure: visible wear, service status, pressure-test status and known replacement parts are described as clearly as practicable.
- Priced earlier: the price reflects the fact that the watch has not gone through our normal Retail preparation process.
Why some collectors prefer it
Not every watch benefits from being made to look new. On vintage and neo-vintage pieces, original case shape, honest wear and untouched surfaces can be part of the attraction. Pre-Retail lets the buyer decide whether to preserve that condition or ask us about preparation after purchase.
Mechanical readings
A timegrapher reading is a snapshot taken at a particular time and position. It can be useful evidence of how a mechanical watch is running at inspection, but it is not the same thing as a service history and is not a guarantee of future accuracy.
Warranty and consumer rights
Pre-Retail watches do not include the additional 12-month Tempvs commercial warranty supplied with qualifying Retail stock. Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
